Respected Shaykh ʿAllāmah Pīr Alāudīn Siddīqī Sāhib (Late) (Rh)

Shaykh ʿAllāmah Pīr Alāudīn Siddīqī Sāhib (Rh) was a remarkable and renowned Sunni scholar of Islam.  He was also a prominent Sūfī Master of the Naqshbandī Sūfī order and made the successor of the Naqshbandī Sūfī order by his father, Pīr ʿAllāmah Muhyu-d-dīn Ghaznawī (Rh).  His remarkable character and profound personality was respected by all.  Furthermore, he was followed by millions due to his spiritual and intellectual teachings and countless worldwide projects relating to charity, education, health and welfare.  He was the founder and the chairman of Sky channel 812, Noor TV, which is televised in over 160 countries.  He was the chancellor for the Islamic Mohiuddin University (A.J.K) and Medical College Mirpur (P.K).  He also launched The Sūfī Academy in April 2009 with Hazel Blears (former secretary of state for local government) and Sion Simon (former education minister) at Westminster in the Houses of Parliament, UK. 

Shaykh ʿAllāmah Pīr Alāudīn Siddīqī Sāhib (Rh) is known for translating and commentating on Mathnawī, the works of Mowlānā Jalāludīn Rūmī (Rh) on Noor TV.    He is also known for making large contributions towards charity.  In 2014 he raised a sum of £180,000 to donate towards the Palestinians in the Gaza appeal.  In October 2005 he provided substantial aid and money towards the tragedy of the 17th largest world earthquake, which appeared in Kashmir, Pakistan.  Child sponsorship is also a recognised merit of Pīr Sāhib’s works.  He also took projects to provide clean and fresh water in remote locations benefitting, 70-80 thousand residents at places such as Dera Ghazi Khan (D.G khan), Pakistan.  

Furthermore, he annually organised the biggest Milādu-n-Nabī ﷺ gatherings ever organised in European history at Aston Park, Birmingham, UK, in which Islamic scholars, people from all other faiths and politicians had taken part.

Pīr Sāhib also spearheaded the diplomatic campaign against the defamation of Islam and of the holy Prophet Mohammad in 2012 as the head of the British Muslim Alliance.  Protests and meetings were conducted inside and outside of the houses of Parliament at Westminster.  He conducted a meeting with the British Prime Minister David Cameron about the matter at 10 Downing Street.  A filed petition signed by over 170,000 people, collected by ʿAllāmah Pīr Alāudīn Siddīqī Sāhib (Rh) was then given to the British Parliament in support of passing the bill to protect all faith symbols.  In March 2013, this matter was discussed further in the European Parliament in Brussels, Belgium.
Pīr Sāhib (Rh) has five Girls schools in Pakistan in Nerian Sharif, Khushab, Candoa, Sahiwal and Charohi.  Furthermore he has four boys’ schools in Pakistan, also in Nerian Sharif, Hyderabad, Iqbal Nagar and Charohi.  Many other projects are still under way.

The Education is provided from primary, GCSE and A-level equivalents, Matriculation, pre degree courses and degree courses.  Islamic Knowledge, at appropriate levels, is inevitably taught alongside the secular education.  There are approximately 200 sponsored projects which are underway, relating to education, health care as well as providing residential requirements for the deprived.

ʿAllāmah Pīr Alāudīn Siddīqī Sāhib (Rh) has built Mohiuddin Hospital in Tararkal, Kashmir and Mohiuddin Hospital in Mirpur, Pakistan.  These hospitals are charity based and are constructed in order to help and to provide appropriate facilities to the poor.  He has many Mosques and community centres all over Pakistan.
